The Metro Vancouver International Photography Festival Society is pleased to invite you to participate in the First Vancouver International Photography Festival from Oct 5 - 7, 2012.
We are a group of professional photographers with enthusiastic volunteers and supporters who will host and launch this event. The purpose of this festival is to provide an opportunity for national and international photographers to come together and share their common interest in photography through education, entertainment and other promotional activities.
Since the establishment of this non-profit organization in June 2011, the Metro Vancouver International Photography Festival Society has been planning a three-day indoor event during Oct 5 - 7 in 2012. In the three-day indoor event, local and international photographers are invited to participate and exhibit their expertise, experience and knowledge in our workshops, seminars, photo critiques and competitions. After that, an optional five-day photography tour is organized; it will run from Oct 10 - 14. The participants can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Vancouver, one of the most favourable tourist destinations in the world.
The City of Vancouver has hosted many successful events such as the 2010 Winter Olympics and events like the Vancouver International Film Festival. As a continuation of this tradition, we would like to continue to promote the tourism of the City of Vancouver through the exchange of different cultures locally and internationally in this wonderful event.
